There are many reasons why people get fancy writing tattoos and none more so than an expression of true love. All over the world individuals express their love with a nice tattoo.
When you see a tattoo with the heart design we often then see the name of the person we love inside this, it is one of the most common tattoos around.
No matter the language we know it is an expression of love, often for our mother or father and often it is a Chinese writing tattoo even when most of those who get this tattoo have no knowledge of Chinese and hope that it says what they think it does.
Many of these writing tattoos began with soldiers going to World War 1 when they wanted to remember the ones they left behind.
Knowing that most would not come back from the war they were no longer influenced by social etiquette, it no longer mattered about the image of tattoos all that mattered was this feeling of marking the love in a permanent way.
Some of the ways to improve, modernise or update this traditional tattoo is of course to use a symbol or another language.
An Arabic writing tattoo will of course provide both the language and the symbolism but what if we want to make sure all our family and friends and of course the one we have dedicated this tattoo can in fact read it and understand it.
This may require the tattoo artist to add roses or wreaths or even a portrait of the individual involved. Writing tattoos for the wrist are unlikely to include a portrait due to size but we can place them elsewhere on the body.
If you do decide to get a portrait picture tattooed just take a few precautions, ensure that the artist can copy the picture, ask them for example to show you them drawing the picture and highlighting the colours that are available. Some previous examples of their work would also help.
It is a pain when we are all excited to stop and check, but you just have to remember this is for the one you love and if it does not show them in a good light you may be in a bit of difficulty.
There are other designs and you may wish to include something which is dear to you both and again just discuss this with the artist and they may be able to help you express this symbol.
Writing tattoos on wrist are often used by couples who do one wrist each with a dedication or comment which they both have.
Couples such as the Beckham’s, David and Victoria who have a matching Hebrew writing tattoo, this says I am my beloveds and my beloved is mine, and of course David already has a picture of Victoria on his arm.
Writing tattoos from other celebrities include Britney Spears and Kevin Federline, for example, they had a pair of matching dice tattooed onto their wrists after their wedding.
My only caution is to make sure you really are in love as the tattoo will last a long time.
